Creating a FeedPlay Guide

Hello, and welcome to this step-by-step training on how to create a FeedPlay guide. By the end of this walkthrough, you’ll know exactly how to set up chapters, add audio, transcribe your content, and insert interactive cards into your guide.  So let’s get started!

1. Create a New Guide

First, log in to FeedPlay and navigate to the “Guide” tab in your dashboard. Under the Guide section, click on “Feeds.”

2. Add a New Feed

Once you’re on the Feeds page, click on the “Add New” button to start creating your guide.

3. Enter Guide Details

Next, you’ll see fields to enter your guide’s Title and a short Description (note that the description should be kept under 30 characters). Fill these out, and then proceed to create your guide.

4. Add Your First Chapter

After creating the guide, select “Add Chapter” to include your first chapter. Give it a title, optionally add a thumbnail image for the chapter, and then click to create.

5. Edit Chapter Content

Once you’ve created your chapter, click on the “Edit” button to add the content for that chapter. Notice the interface has separate tabs for each chapter and for the editor. Simply toggle between these tabs to easily navigate.

6. Add Your Audio Source

Next, it’s time to add the audio for your guide. You can record audio directly within FeedPlay or upload an existing audio file. Choose the option that works best for you, and let’s move on.

7. AI Transcription & Additional Tools

FeedPlay will automatically transcribe your uploaded or recorded audio. You’ll then see a new interface where you can:

  1. Edit the transcription text.

  2. Generate sub-chapters in the form of tags.

  3. Translate the guide into other languages.

  4. Download the content in various formats.

  5. Add interactive content cards to enrich your audio.

Alternatively, you can click on “Generate cards using FeedPlay AI” to let the system assist you in creating cards.

8. Adding Content Cards at Specific Timestamps

To add cards to specific points in your audio, select any word in the transcription. For example, if you choose the word “Chapters,” a card pop-up will appear on the right side of your screen. From there, you can:

  • Insert URLs

  • Add images

  • Edit the transcription text

Whenever viewers reach that point in the audio, the cards you’ve attached will appear, providing additional information or resources.

9. Modifying or Removing Cards

If you need to change a card’s details or remove it entirely, locate the card in your feed. Click on the “Unlink” button to detach it from the selected timestamp, or use the “Delete” button to remove it completely.

10. Preview and Share Your Guide

You’re almost done! Use the preview tabs to check how your guide looks and works. You can also:

  • Visit the guide link directly.

  • Embed the guide on your website.

  • Generate a share link so others can view your content.

Finally to navigate to your guide settings use the 3 dot icon to see the “Settings”.
